Refund and Returns Policy

At Container Chassis Depot, we are committed to ensuring customer satisfaction with our products, including container chassis, shipping containers, container homes, and offices. This Refund and Returns Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which returns and refunds are accepted. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and our obligations regarding returns and refunds.

1. Eligibility for Returns

Due to the nature of our products, returns are accepted only under specific conditions:

  • The item must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging.
  • Returns must be initiated within 30 days from the date of delivery.
  • The item must be accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase.

Certain products, such as custom-built containers, modified container homes, or specially ordered items, are not eligible for returns or refunds unless they are defective or damaged upon delivery.

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Custom-built or modified containers and container homes.
  • Clearance or sale items.
  • Items that have been installed, altered, or modified after delivery.
  • Products damaged due to misuse, improper handling, or accidents.

3. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Email us at contact@containerchassisdepot.com within 30 days of receiving your order. Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos or videos of the item (if applicable).

  2. Receive Return Authorization: Our customer service team will review your request and, if approved, provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions for the return process.

  3. Prepare the Item for Return: Ensure the item is securely packaged in its original packaging and that all accessories, manuals, and documentation are included. Clearly mark the RMA number on the outside of the package.

  4. Shipping the Item: You are responsible for the shipping costs associated with returning the item to our facility unless the return is due to a defect or error on our part. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance. Container Chassis Depot is not responsible for lost or damaged returns.

4. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved Refunds: If your refund is approved, a credit will be applied to your original method of payment within 10-14 business days. Please note that processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.
  • Partial Refunds: In some cases, only partial refunds are granted, such as for items not in their original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Non-Refundable Costs: Original shipping costs, handling fees, and any customs duties or taxes paid are non-refundable.

5. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at contact@containerchassisdepot.com with your order number, a description of the damage or defect, and photos or videos of the item. We will assess the situation and, if necessary, arrange for a repair, replacement, or refund at no additional cost to you.

6. Order Cancellations

  • Cancellation Before Shipment: If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us immediately at contact@containerchassisdepot.com. If the order has not yet been processed or shipped, we will cancel the order and issue a full refund.
  • Cancellation After Shipment: If your order has already been shipped, it may not be possible to cancel it. In this case, you may need to follow the return process once you receive the item. Please note that shipping costs for returning the item may be your responsibility.

7. Exchange Policy

We currently do not offer exchanges. If you wish to exchange a product, you must return the original item (if eligible) and place a new order for the desired product.

8. Restocking Fees

A restocking fee of up to 20% may apply to returned items that are not defective or damaged. This fee covers the costs associated with inspecting, repackaging, and restocking the item.

9. International Returns

For international orders, return shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and any additional fees are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds for international orders will be issued in USD based on the original payment amount.
